Computer Software Configuration
Revised October 18, 2013
The following list of software is purchased and supported by Information Technology (IT) on University computers. IT's goal is to create a stable and reliable computing environment for all University users to meet teaching and administrative needs. Adding new software solutions and upgrading existing software is dependent on compatibility with Operating Systems (OS), Applications and Reporting solutions and the following list of standard software currently installed on University computers.
If a need exists to deviate from the list of standard software, please submit the approval form to IT prior to purchasing software with University department funds. All requests will be reviewed for compatibility with current software installations as well as identify the level of University IT support available for the requested software.
Once approved, Kettering University has a list of preferred software vendors that offer technology discounts for University purchases along with discounts available for students and employees purchasing software for personal use.
