The third annual Kettering Mathematics Olympiad will be Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration begins at 10 a.m. in the Campus Center building.

The Mathematics Olympiad is a competition designed to identify and encourage students with interests and abilities in mathematics. The competition consists of four to six challenging problems and has a time limit of four hours. The problems range from "mind-benders" that require little mathematical skills to problems that require the knowledge of geometry,t rigonometry and beginning calculus. The Olympiad examination is designed for students in grades 9 through 12. However, any student working toward a high school degree who is currently enrolled in a public school, private school or a home-school program can sit for the examination.
