TEDxFlint 2011

Image removed.TEDxFlint is back for a second year!

Scheduled for Oct. 22, the theme for 2011 comes from the very last talk given at the 2010 TEDxFlint event by David McGhee.  The phrase “16th Letter,” in this context, comes from the belief that when approached with logic, many of life’s critical issues are tied to a word that begins with the letter “P.”   Therefore, this year’s talks will be related to the 16th letter, such as Passion, Purpose, Plan, Pride, Pedagogy, Progress, Perseverance, Politics, or Preparation.

In order to attend TEDxFlint, individuals must apply on www.tedxflint.com and receive a confirmation. If you are not able to attend, the event will be webcast on www.tedxflint.com.  Like all TED-style events, space is limited for this event to 150 people and there is an application committee that chooses applications to ensure the people attending the conference are as interesting as the people presenting.

Organizers have set up a digital suggestion box using the “all our ideas” site that the public is invited to cast votes in answer to the following question: “Which is the most important idea associated with the 16th letter?”  Visit http://www.allourideas.org/tedxflint2011ideas to participate create, contribute and discover through the digital suggestion box.Image removed.
