Helping turn innovators into entrepreneurs is the focus of Kettering University's free Tech Venture program.

What do computer geeks, former business owners, college students and moms have in common? Neil Sheridan.

Sheridan is Kettering University’s TechWorks Technology Accelerator director and a former business consultant. The unlikely group listed above are “students” of Kettering’s free Tech Venture program, designed to turn innovators into entrepreneurs.

Tech Venture teaches participants how to turn their ideas into something marketable and profitable. Kettering freshman Kevin Kral, 18, is currently involved in Tech Venture. He has produced a prototype of the iPod hardware idea he wants to take to market and is hoping Tech Venture will give him the tools he needs to take the next step.
