Mervyn's $800 gift

Kettering's efforts to show high school girls the variety of careers in engineering and the sciences have received an assist from Mervyn's department store at the Genesee Valley Mall in Flint. Edith Withey, Kettering's associate dean of Student Affairs, accepted an $800 check to benefit Kettering's 21st Century Woman program during a ceremony at the mall Jan. 13.
