New board member for Greater Flint Arts Council
Kettering's Monica Snyder has been elected to a two-year term on the Board of Trustees for the Greater Flint Arts Council. Snyder is a long-time supporter of the GFAC and said she is happy to serve in a leadership role. "I've always had a love of art," she said. "My background is in theater and graphic design, which will be helpful in my role on the board."
Snyder joined Kettering in August as the new Prospect Researcher in University Advancement. She earned bachelor's and master's degree at the University of Michigan - Flint.
She showcased her artwork at GFAC while a college student and worked closely with the organization during events like Art Walk, Quilt Festival and the Cool Cities Art Auction when she served as the assistant director for Buckham Gallery.
