Six Kettering University faculty were recently awarded promotions by the Board of Trustees and two were named Emeritus Professor.

The Kettering University Board of Trustees approved promotions for six faculty members at their March 2010 meeting. The following faculty promotions will be effective July 1:

  • Dr. David Golz, of  Flint, was promoted to associate professor in the Department of Liberal Studies, with tenure;
  • Dr. Denise Stodola, of Flint, was promoted to associate professor in the Department of Liberal Studies, with tenure;
  • Dr. Ezekiel Gebissa, of Haslett, was promoted to professor in the Department of Liberal Studies;
  • Dr. Michael Hynes, of Davison, was promoted to professor in the Department of Liberal Studies;
  • Dr.Luchen Li, ofBrighton, was promoted to professor in the Department of Liberal Studies; and
  • Dr.Stacy Seeley, of Grand Blanc, was promoted to professor in the Department of Chemistry/Biochemistry. Seeley also serves as director of the Pre-med program and interim department head for Chemistry/Biochemistry.

In addition, the Board of Trustees approved, at a previous meeting, Emeritus ranking for Dr. David Green, former professor of Mathematics and Dr. John Dulin, former professor of Chemistry.

Dr. Michael Harris, provost, congratulated the faculty and thanked the departmental promotion committees and the university Promotion Committee for their efforts.
