Kruisin' Kettering

Feb 24, 2005

Area high school students got an up close and personal look at Kettering through a Chamber of Commerce Career exploration day.

The Flint Area Chamber of Commerce coordinated a campus visit for area students interested in engineering careers Tuesday, Feb. 22. Almost 50 students came to campus to check out careers in Bio-mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Crash Test Safety. They had a chance to rev up a miniature jet engine, check on the progress of the Formula SAE team's race car production and learn more about the hottest new area of Engineering - Bio-Mechanical - and see how artificial knees and hips are designed.
