Kettering welcomes Ukraine visitors

Kettering's Office of International and Governmental Activities has welcomed its 22nd group of international visitors participating in the U.S. Department of State-Educational and Cultural Affairs Bureau-Community Connections Program.

Kettering's Office of International and Governmental Activities has welcomed its 22nd group of international visitors participating in the U.S. Department of State-Educational and Cultural Affairs Bureau-Community Connections Program.

This program brings international professionals to Flint to learn how Americans conduct business and education. This latest group comprises secondary education administrators from Uzhhored in the Ukraine. They live with a host family in the Flint area for three weeks and observe how Kettering administrators and faculty conduct the business of higher education.

These international educators will visit the following educational institutions and schools:

  • Genesee Intermediate School District;
  • Genesee Area Skills Center;
  • Flint Southwestern High School;
  • the University of Michigan-Flint;
  • Carman-Ainsworth High School;
  • Grand Blanc High School;
  • Michigan School for the Deaf;
  • Genesee Christian High School;
  • Powers High School;
  • Immaculate Conception Ukrainian High School in Warren, Mich.; and
  • Kettering University.

Kettering University has participated in the Community Connections program since 1995.
