Kettering University promotes ten faculty members

Ten faculty members have been approved for promotion by the Kettering Board of Trustees.

The Kettering University Board of Trustees recently approved faculty promotions during the March 2005 annual board meeting. Promotions are effective July 1, and recognize the significant accomplishments and service to the institution by the following faculty members:

  • Dr. Carl Aronson of Grand Blanc, Mich., promoted to professor of Chemistry with tenure;
  • Dr. Ram Chandran of Grand Blanc, Mich., promoted to professor of Mechanical Engineering;
  • Dr. Ruben Hayrapetyan of Flushing, Mich., promoted of professor of Mathematics;
  • Dr. Kenneth Kaiser of Gaines, Mich., promoted to professor of Electrical Engineering;
  • Dr. Luchen Li of Brighton, Mich., promoted to associate professor of Communication and Humanities with tenure;
  • Dr. James McLaughlin of Lennon, Mich., promoted to professor of Electrical Engineering;
  • Dr. Homayun Navaz of Fenton, Mich., promoted to professor of Mechanical Engineering;
  • Dr. Uma Ramabadran of Ann Arbor, Mich., promoted to associate professor of Physics with tenure;
  • Dr. Bahram Roughani of Grand Blanc, Mich., promoted to professor of Applied Physics; and
  • Dr. William Waldron of Grand Blanc Township, promoted to associate professor of Mechanical Engineering with tenure.
