Kettering on the BIG screen
Kettering University will advertise at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit - placing three Kettering co-op students on giant digital screens on the walls of the Ponchatrain Hotel at the entrance to Cobo Hall.
Joining many of its corporate partners, Kettering University will advertise at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Three Kettering co-op students will be featured in the ad running on giant digital screens on the walls of the Ponchatrain Hotel at the entrance to Cobo Hall. The upper screen is 13' x 9', positioned 50' high in the air and the lower screen is 17' x 13', positioned 30' high in the air.
The co-op students are Josh Sweers of Grand Blanc, Mich., Ryan Carrithers of Lapeer, Mich., and Ann Call of LaCrosse, Wis. Sweers co-op is at AutoLiv; Carrithers works for Bosch and Call is co-oping at Argonne National Labs in Chicago.
The ad will be displayed on two, brighter than sunlight, giant LED screens on both the Upper Terrace as well as the Lower Terrace of the Pontchartrain Hotel, directly opposite COBO Arena and the windows of Cobo's Concourse, visible to Auto Show attendee plus 458,000 vehicles daily in the event area. Total viewer-ship is expected to be in excess of 1,000,000 spectators, sponsors and participants.
The ad will be seen with some of the biggest advertisers for the show, including all the major auto companies and suppliers. At the time of purchase Kettering was the only university to be advertising.
