A public lecture at Kettering University will give local residents a chance to hear from an Iraq war veteran on his military experiences in Iraq.

A public lecture at Kettering University will give local residents a chance to hear from an Iraq war veteran on his military experiences in Iraq.

Kettering University's Flint Alumni Chapter and Student Alumni Chapter will host Staff Sgt. Mark Yonan from the United States Marine Corps Reserves on Thursday, July 22, at 7 p.m. in McKinnon Theater.

The event is the first in Kettering's Summer Speaker Series 2004 and is open to the public and free. A dessert reception and refreshments begins at 5:30 p.m. in Kettering's Faculty Senate Room (second floor of the Academic Building). Immediately following the dessert reception, Mark Yonan from Flint will deliver an inspirational talk about his military experiences in the Middle East.
