Family night with PLASTIVAN at Kettering

The Society of Plastics Engineers Mid-Michigan Section will bring PLASTIVAN to Kettering University Tuesday, Nov. 12.

The Society of Plastics Engineers Mid-Michigan Section will bring PLASTIVAN to Kettering University Tuesday, Nov. 12. PLASTIVAN is a national education outreach program geared to students in grades three to 12, designed to enhance public understanding of plastics featuring the latest innovations in plastics science and technology.

Produced by the National Plastics Center and Museum, the PLASTIVAN travels throughout the U.S. and Canada teaching students, teachers, parents and the general public about the chemistry, processing, history and environmental issues related to plastics.

PLASTIVAN will at Kettering on Nov. 12 starts at 6 p.m. with dinner in Room 2-225 (pizza, cookies and beverages), followed at 6:45 p.m. by the PLASTIVAN presentation in Room 2-228A.

Cost is $15 for families with reservations. Reservations may be made by phone or fax to Russell Peters at (989) 636-5529 or by fax at (989) 6368-9628.
