'Discover Kettering' on Nov. 17

Kettering University will host its fall open house, 'Discover Kettering', Saturday, Nov. 17.

Kettering University will host its fall open house, 'Discover Kettering', Saturday, Nov. 17. Prospective students and their families are invited to participate in a variety of events on campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., including "Instant Decision on Admissions."

The day's events will include a College Expo, where all academic department and student-related departments are represented, along with tours of the Academic Building, Thompson Residence Hall, and the Connie and Jim John Recreation Center. Lab presentations will include manufacturing, automotive, laser radioisotope, heat transfer, electricity, solid-state electronics, metallurgy labs and chemistry. There will be information sessions for admissions, cooperative education and financial aid, as well as student panel question and answer sessions.

'Discover Kettering' is free and open to the public. Nov. 17 is "Instant Decision Day" when prospective students are invited to bring their completed application with high school data section completed, official high school transcript and ACT/SAT test scores. All of the above must be submitted in order for an "instant decision" to be made.
