Kettering doesn't have a football team, but its stats for a Saturday in November were quite impressive. Kettering's fall open house, known as "Discover Kettering" attracted 728 visitors, including 296 prospective freshmen and a new record for the number of current students serving as volunteers (159!).
"It was a very good day," said Jennifer Jennings, who is one of three coordinators of the admissions open house.
One of the highlights of the day's events was "Instant Decision" -- an opportunity for prospective students who brought the appropriate papers to get an "instant decision" on their admissions process. More than 130 students participated in "Instant Decision," which also set a new standard for the day's success.
