Commencement Photos Dec. 2009

Dec 12, 2009

The weather outside was frightful(ly cold!), but the atmosphere inside was warm and celebratory as Kettering's graduates for December 2009 received their degrees.

Freezing temperatures couldn't keep families from coming out in droves for Kettering University's December 2009 Commencement ceremonies celebrating the accomplishments of more than 290 graduates Saturday, Dec. 12. Henry Juszkiewicz ’76, the chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar in Nashville, presented the Commencement address.  Kettering presented him with an Honorary Doctor of Management degree.

Samantha R. Best, an award-winning Mechanical Engineering student from Clayton, N.C., was the undergraduate student speaker.

The December graduate class included 230 undergraduate and 62 master’s candidates, with about 206 undergraduates and 26 graduate students marching at the ceremony.  Perennial favorite Dr. Henry Kowalski, professor of Mechanical Engineering, was the grand marshal.

Here are some photos of the event. For even more photos, visit Kettering University on facebook or check out student photographs at Prime Studios LLC at http://photo.primestudiosllc.com/kugrad2009.
