The grand opening for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is Tuesday, Oct. 2, in room 1-306, Academic Building.

The grand opening for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is Tuesday, Oct. 2, in room 1-306, Academic Building. Activities for the celebration including opening remarks by Dr. John Lorenz, vice president for Academic Affairs and Provost; a keynote address titled "What Can We Do to Improve Teaching and Learning?" by Wilbert McKeachie of the University of Michigan; a luncheon reception and two teaching workshops facilitated by outside experts. CETL was created to provide support to the Kettering community to improve teaching and learning. It will feature a computer resource center, educational grants, sponsorship of teaching circles, a CETL resource library, support of the Educational Scholars Award, a web site, assessment fair and a peer observation program.
