Celebrating the GAs

A recent Graduate Assistant Poster Session helped the Kettering community get to know its current Graduate Assistants better and appreciate their contributions.

Kettering’s fifth annual Graduate Assistant Poster Session recently gave the University community an opportunity to meet the Graduate Assistants and find out more about the contributions they are making on campus.  The Poster Session was Oct. 25 in the Great Court.

Those who presented were: Jayesh Kavathe (Adviser Dr. Joel Berry), Phil Lundberg (Adviser Dr. Bassem Ramadan), Tim Sullivan (Adviser Dr. Bassem Ramadan), Erick Scarpone(Adviser Dr. Peter Gheresus), Jose Palacios (Adviser Dr. Lucy King), and Varun Shetty (Adviser Dr. Massoud Tavakoli).

Of the presenters, the following won awards:

Tim Sullivan of Grand Blanc, Mich., received the certificate for Outstanding Graduate Research Assistant in the area of MAT Material Characterization, a $500 prize;

Phil Lundberg of Keego Harbor, Mich., received the certificate for Meritorious Graduate Research Assistant in the area of Exhaust After-Treatment Systems, a $250 prize;

and Jose Palacios of Venezuela, received the certificate for Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant in the area of Robotics, a $500 prize.
