The Kettering Bulldog Lacrosse team wrapped the 2002 season with a homecoming game on the Field of Dreams - better known as the new Kettering Park playing fields. New jerseys and the homefield advantage didn't help stop the team's losing streak. They lost to Alma College 11-9. But faculty sponsor and Coach Dr. Carl Aronson, assistant professor of Chemistry, said the team showed an encouraging increase in team unity in addition to significant improvements in team defense, clearing, passing and shooting skills this year.

"We have a balance between team members who played lacrosse in high school and players who have learned lacrosse here at Kettering over the past couple of years," said Aronson. "The players possess excellent work ethic and drive," he added. The team looks forward to continued improvement. Their goal is to better compete on the intercollegiate club level next season. Aronson has experience on the playing field having played attack for Hope College lacrosse in college.
