The Kettering University Bulldog Hockey Club A-Section Team will play five games in February against the University of Michigan-Flint and Lansing Community College, both of which belong to the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHA).

These five games in one month represent the most that the Kettering team has played in its history.

The games, which begin Friday, Feb. 1, 7:30 p.m. at Flint's IMA Sports Arena, pit a hard working Kettering club against some of the better college club teams in the area.

The Kettering team continues to practice each week at Flint's Iceland Arena in preparation for these games. The schedule for winter term 2002 is as follows:

Friday, Feb. 1, 7:30 p.m., University of Michigan-Flint at the IMA Sports Arena, Flint.

Friday, Feb. 8, 9:30 p.m., Lansing Community College, ARC Ice Sports Arena, East Lansing, Mich.

Friday, Feb. 15, 9:30 p.m., University of Michigan-Flint at Iceland Arena, Flint.

Saturday, Feb. 16, 8 p.m., University of Michigan-Flint at Iceland Arena, Flint

Saturday, Feb. 23, 7:30 p.m., Lansing Community College at Iceland Arena, Flint.

Over the last two years, the team has experienced a sort of resurgence. Currently, more than 30 players comprise the Bulldog Club, which is up from 15 skaters in 1999. Bob Nichols, vice president of Kettering's Enrollment Management Dept., serves as the coach for the team during their games. In an earlier game against the University of Michigan-Flint, Nichols coached the team to a 6-4 victory.
