The Durant Collection

More than 8,000 items make up the papers of William C. Durant, founder of General Motors. This significant collection surveys the formative years of General Motors in addition to Durant's various business endeavors.

Several chapters from Durant's unpublished memoirs as well as his personal notes written for his proposed autobiography are also owned by the Archives.
