CREEK Program

CREEK, which stands for Creating Relationships that Educate and Enrich Kids, is a program that focuses on high school students. CREEK consists of workshops lead by Kagle Mentors. These workshops are a forum discussion setting, where mentors lead the discussion, but students ultimately do most of the talking. Topics include both social and academic issues pertinent to high school students today. Topics include, but are not limited to: peer pressure and social acceptance, sex, addictions, family, applying for college, college facts 101: What you need to know, taking the SAT/ACT. Workshops that are academic based are open to both students and their parents, while social workshops are for students alone. Each work shop will be located at Beecher High School on a Wednesday evening from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. starting Feb 6th. There are a total of 5 workshops total for each CREEK session. Sessions will run in the fall, winter, and spring of this school year.


Please park in front of the building or behind Thompson Hall. *Snacks are provided at each session.

KITE Program

KITE, which stands for Kagle InTellectual Endeavors works in collaboration with the CREEK program.KITE has enrichment activities which focus on outdoor/physical activities, performing arts, science/history museums, community service activities. Any student who attends a CREEK workshop on Wednesday is able to attend the event the following Saturday for FREE. The times of the event will be subjective to the event, and will be given to the students at the end of the workshop session on Wednesday. Students need only bring a signed permission slip and meet the bus at Kettering University Main Doors of Campus Center.
