Setting Calendar Permissions via Outlook 2003 - Quick StartThis Quick Start guide will demonstrate how to grant another Kettering University user permissions to your Calendar using Outlook. If you use Webmail the following the instructions at the following page: Granting Calendar Permissions in Webmail Note: In order to share, view, and access other Calendars, the Sun Java Connector for Outlook must be installed. If the Connector is not installed, please choose the appropriate connector from the list below: If you do not have Administrative rights to install software on your Windows PC please contact the HelpDesk x8324 or helpdesk@kettering.edu to request that the Sun Connector be installed on your PC. 1. Log in to Outlook and Click on the Calendar View Button.
2. Under "My Calendars", Place your cursor over "Calendar" and right Click to bring up an options menu.
3. Left Click on the Properties item from the menu you get from right clicking on the "Calendar" under "My Calendar".
4. In the "Calendar Properties" dialog box, select the "Permissions" tab.
5. In the "User ID:" box, type in the user ID of the person that you wish to share your calendar with and Click "Add".
6. Select the User ID of the user you wish to give permissions to in the box that displays who has permissions to your calendar. When you click on the User ID in the box, the list of current permissions for that user is displayed in the "User's permission to this folder" area. Check or Uncheck the box next to the permissions that you wish to grant or revoke from the selected user.
7. Click "Apply"
8. Click "OK"
