Directional Decision Statement for Web Development

Direction: Whenever possible, web development, accessed for or by the www.kettering.edu web site, will be developed and edited by the Web Advisory Team. Requests for change can be submitted to marketing@kettering.edu.

Purpose: This direction is being set to:

Increase our web site productivity
Identify content ownership
Improve our brand image
Improve ease of user access to information through standards
Facilitate the accuracy and integrity of the published information

Tools: The CMS tool set by Kettering University for web page development is Adobe Contribute.

Style: The 1998 Kettering University identity reference will be used to identify guidelines in creating web page templates and content format styles.

Content: Content ownership and substance will be the responsibility of the Kettering University department requesting the web page. If content is allowed to become outdated, the web page containing the outdated content will be removed from the www.kettering.edu web site.
