Directory Assistance Procedures

In our ongoing effort to reduce costs and increase efficiency, The Telecommunications department is asking that The Kettering University Community use web based information services in order to obtain directory assistance instead of dialing 411 or 555-1212.  

Each and every call to the 411 service costs 45 cents and the 555-1212 service costs 78 cents. These costs generally add up to hundreds of dollars each month. 

Not only are the web based information services free, but they are easy to use and actually more efficient. All you have to do when you want directory assistance is go to one of these web sites and input the name of the person you wish to call and it pops right up on your computer screen. There is no dialing involved until you make your telephone call and nothing for you to write down. Plus you can "copy" and "paste" the phone number right into your address book for future use.
