What to Expect - What to Bring
Making the Most of Kamp Kettering

Launching rockets.
We're delighted to have you join us for Kamp Kettering. In order to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone, we ask that you prepare for your Kamp session by following a few guidelines.

What to Wear: Every day, you should wear closed-toe shoes* with socks, long pants, and a top that completely covers your midriff. We'll provide safety glasses for everyone. If you aren't properly dressed, you can't participate in the experiments.

*We recommend you wear athletic shoes so you can go to our Recreation Center at the end of the day.

What to Bring: Yourself! We'll provide backpacks filled with everything else you need to make the most of your time at Kettering.

What Not to Bring:

  • Laptop computers or other expensive items; we'll provide all the equipment you need, plus we can't be responsible for expensive personal belongings.
  • Cell phones are not allowed at any time between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If your parents need to contact you during the day, they should leave a message with Virginia Hill (762-9873). We'll provide a phone for you to call them back.
  • Lunch: We'll provide lunch and snacks every day at no additional cost. You may not take food or drinks into classes, labs, or the Rec Center.
