Who should apply?

You should apply to Kamp Kettering if:

  • You have a desire to explore science, mathematics, engineering, and technology and to meet other girls who do, too.
  • You live in Michigan and have daily transportation to and from Kettering University in Flint.
  • You will have completed the 6th grade by July 1, 2008.

How much does it cost to apply?

There's no cost to apply. If accepted, you will be asked to pay a $150.00 registration fee, as described below. Please, do not send money with your application.

How much does Kamp Kettering cost?

Kamp Kettering costs $150.00 for the one-week program. The fee covers all expenses, including supplies, equipment, field trips, and meals (snacks and lunches each day). How do I apply?

  • Complete the application form.
  • Download two copies of the recommendation form and give to your math and science teachers, or a school counselor, to complete for you. (Each applicant must submit two recommendations.) You should give your recommenders a stamped envelope addressed to:

When is my application due?

Your application, along with two letters of recommendation, is due April 15, 2008. Applications will only be accepted after that date if spaces remain open.

When will I find out if I can attend Kamp Kettering?

We'll notify all applicants in late-May to let them know if they have been accepted. Accepted students will be asked to send a non-refundable, space-reserving deposit of $50.00 by June 15. No refunds will be issued after 6/15/08.

How many girls attend Kamp Kettering?

Only 24 girls can attend each session of Kamp Kettering, so apply early!
