Exchange students under the J-1 regulations are not permitted to work in the U.S. under the sponsorship of Kettering University without attending an academic term on campus. The academic term at Kettering must precede the work term. The work term cannot exceed the length of the academic term.
Though Kettering may offer assistance to short-term international exchange students in their efforts to obtain a work assignment, the university cannot guarantee placements. International exchange students are strongly encouraged to work through their home university to obtain a commitment of employment for a work assignment in the U.S.
