Graduate Admissions Requirements for International Students

International applicant's admissions application packet should include:

  • Admissions Application
  • Application fee - $50 (U.S. Dollars), checks payable to: Kettering University
  • Official transcripts - transcripts must be official or certified with an English translation from all undergraduate studies (include diploma). Engineering applicants must have a degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Financial Statement - the statement must be from a legitimate financial institution reflecting a minimum of $40,000 in a savings account to pay for your tuition and miscellaneous expenses while attending Kettering University
  • Neither scholarship funds nor financial aid are available for international students at Kettering University.
  • Passport - Legible copy of your passport
  • TOEFL - Copy of scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). This requirement may be waived if you received your Bachelors Degree from a college or institution in the United States. Minimum score for the TOEFL is 550 (paper-based), or 213 (computer-based), or 79-80 IBT (Internet-based).

Notification of Admissions Decision

Please allow up to six (6) weeks for review of your application materials. An application packet will not be reviewed until all required materials have been received. Most applicants should receive a written decision via postal mail within 4-6 weeks; however, delays may be caused by Kettering shut down days, excessive flow of applications, etc.
