Domestic Students

For MBA...

Domestic applicant's admissions application packet should include:

  • Admissions Application
  • Official Transcripts - Must be sent from the university in a sealed envelope. The university must be regionally accredited.

Business Concentrations:

General
Information Technology

Applicants for the above concentrations must have a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. University or International equivalent.

Electrical Engineering Concentrations:

Power Electronics and Machine Drives
Wireless Communications

Applicants for the above concentrations must have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (not Engineering Technology) from an approved ABET-accredited Engineering program.

Mechanical Engineering Concentration:

Mechanical Design

Applicants for the above concentration must have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (not Engineering Technology) from an approved ABET-accredited Engineering program.

Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering Concentrations

Systems Engineering
Manufacturing Engineering

Applicants for the above concentrations must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (excluding Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology) from an approved ABET-accredited Engineering program. Students taking these technical concentrations cannot select courses that substantially support/duplicate their undergraduate degree.

For Operations Management, Manufacturing Management, Information Technology...

Domestic applicant's admissions application packet should include: 

  • Admissions Application
  • Official Transcripts - Must be sent from the university in a sealed envelope. The university must be regionally accredited.

For Engineering Programs...

Engineering applicants must submit a completed application, two letters of recommendation, and official transcripts of their Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program. Engineering Technology will not be considered for this program.

  • Official Transcripts - Must be sent from the university in a sealed envelope.  The university must be ABET accredited.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation - (supervisor and/or professor strongly recommended)

For Engineering Management...

Engineering Management applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an approved ABET-accredited engineering (not technology) or computing program, or be a Kettering University graduate with a degree other than management. (The MSEM program was designed for the Kettering University graduate. Students from other ABET-accredited programs may apply.)

Grade Point Average

For full admittance into Kettering University's Graduate programs you must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (85 on a 100 scale - Kettering University).

For provisional* admittance into Kettering University's Graduate programs you must have a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (80 on a 100 scale - Kettering University).

*Provisional admittance will require the student to achieve a 3.0 minimum grade point average during the first two courses of the program.  If this requirement is not met the student is subject to dismissal from the program.

Notification of Admissions Decision

Please allow up to four (4) weeks for review of your application materials. An application packet will not be reviewed until all required materials have been received. Most applicants should receive a written decision via postal mail within 2-4 weeks; however, delays may be caused by Kettering shut down days, excessive flow of applications, etc.
