Professor

Dr. Pinhas Barak, professor of Mechanical Engineering
Ph.D. from Wayne State University in Vehicle Dynamics, with expertise in vehicle suspension dynamics and design, chassis and mechanical control systems.

After 24 years of teaching at Kettering, Barak admires the interest in hands-on learning his students possess. He finds that many of them come to college with some practical Engineering "know-how." Barak likes to translate his interests and knowledge into the classroom experience to make the learning process fun for his students.

Barak feels students genuinely interested in Engineering should come to Kettering, what he considers "one of the best universities in North America for undergraduate Engineering."

Hidden talents and outside interests: He may be too short to effectively utilize the whole white board (or so his students claim), but that doesn't slow him down outside the classroom where he is a rabid soccer fan, history buff and amateur photographer.
