The Innovators Kettering Young Inventors program provides an exciting opportunity for young students (Grades 4-6) in Genesee County to create inventions and to present them to the community. This yearlong adventure in creativity encourages students to be problem solvers, critical thinkers, researchers, technical writers, scientists, evaluators and presenters. Students learn about invention through an engaging, high interest curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking skills, scientific inquiry and problem solving. It integrates the core curriculum areas of mathematics, science, language arts and social studies and applies them to real world problems to be solved.

Approximately 100 students will be selected to present their inventions at Kettering University to the local participating schools. The students will be on campus displaying their inventions in the Campus Center, 5th floor International Room on 5th week Tuesday, May 6 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
