Fall Term's book is The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury, and the discussion will take place on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 12:20 p.m. Bring your lunch and join us in the Library for an engaging conversation about the book and the author.  Have you already read this book?  Join us anyway; we'd enjoy hearing your thoughts.

Knock Out Hunger

Meet 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist Claressa Shields on Wednesday, November 14 at the Riverfront Banquet Center. Event is from 6-8 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Please bring at least one non-perishable food item for donation. Light refreshments will be served.

GREEN Summit

High Schools from Genesee and Lapeer County will be on campus to present their findings of water testing from various lakes, rivers, and streams. This event is sponsored by the Flint River Watershed Coalition.

Bosch Marketplace

Bosch Marketplace, 2-6 p.m.
From 2-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, the Bosch Big Band members will offer a meet and greet and an opportunity to experience Bosch products at the Bosch Marketplace.  The Bosch Marketplace will be set up outside the International Room on the fifth floor of the Campus Center.  Visitors are welcome to meet the band and get more information on the Bosch Group, a leading global supplier of technology and services.

Bosch Big Band concert and dancing

Bosch Big Band featuring Trombonist Jiggs Whigham offers free jazz and swing concert at Kettering University in Flint on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

The 8 p.m. concert is open to the public.  It will be in the International Room of Kettering University’s Campus Center building, located on the corner of University and Chevrolet avenues in Flint.

The concert band’s repertoire comprises more than 150 songs with different styles, ranging from swing, blues, soul, funk, jazz rock and Latin for both music lovers and dancers.  Band leader and trumpeter is Josef Herzog.
