We rely on materials in all aspects of daily living; in structures, vehicles, manufacturing processes, security and energy generation. In some instances, failure of a material can have catastrophic consequences. This talk focuses on electromagnetic properties of materials and the physics-based design of sensors to measure electromagnetic material properties nondestructively.
