Course Description:

Macromedia FLASH is a very powerful, yet reasonably simple software, which can enable a developer (novice to expert) to animate essentially whatever he or she desires on the internet (2 dimensions only). Because the FLASH player is a standard “plug-in” in almost all web browsers, it is the best possible software to use for internet animation projects.

 

This is the second of several seminars that will be offered . Through these seminars, the student will progressively learn the how to program effectively in the FLASH environment.

 

Course Objectives:

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1)         Understand the fundamentals of the powerful underlying FLASH code: FLASH Action Script.

2)         Have the ability to utilize basic Action Script coding in order to control “movie clips” and “buttons”.

3)         Have an in-depth understanding of the FLASH library and its powerful characteristics.

4)         Understand how to manipulate and customize FLASH library “instances”.

5)         Be able to create text boxes and utilize them in order to validate user input and/or display user output
