Course Title:

KanBan System - Advanced

Instructor:

To Be Assigned

Course Description:

This course is one of Lean Series Courses we offer in our Continuing Education Program.  This course focuses on fundamentals of KanBan system and its application in process based activities and structure in a larger scope.  Several hours of this course is dedicated to practical understanding of KanBan system with the sue of simulated production lines.  The application of KanBan system away from specific operator's activities or process step is discussed and examples of production line feeding other line through KanBan concept are explained.  Additionally, a step-by-step process for implementation of such system is offered.

Course Objectives:

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Learn the fundamentals of KanBan system.

2. Understand how KanBan system creates both labor/operator efficiency and process/production line efficiency and effectiveness.

3. Plan, practically setup, and fully implement the KanBan system in their own facility.

4. Learn how to seek opportunities and isolate improvement points in production lines through KanBan system implementation.
