Dillon Frost

Freshman Class Rep

Biography

My name is Dillon James Frost and I approve this righteous message to the people of Kettering requesting that I be elected your Freshmen Representative to have and to hold, for richer and for poorer, through the good and that bad, I will represent my fellow students with pride.

What activities are/were you involved in at Kettering and high school? (list academic year, as well as any positions you may have held in any organization).

At Kettering I am involved in Geo Club and in RHA where I serve as treasurer for the hall along with outdoors club. In high school I was involved in NHS, Student Ambassadors, BETA Club and a multitude of Varsity and Junior Varsity sports.

What is the one trait you want people to know you for?

I want people to know me for my friendliness and how I do my best to introduce myself to new people and accommodate myself with them because it is a great opportunity to be able to meet so many new people and learn of everyone's accomplishments.

What is your favorite quote/saying(s)

My favorite quote/ saying is "Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
-Mark Twain" because I feel as though in our generation, procrastination is such a rampant issue and this kind of demonstrates that in a comedic way.

What do you think can be improved at Kettering and what steps will you take to accomplish this improvement?

I would like to improve the fact that some people don't believe Kettering Student Government does that much work by proving through all the major events that they are very active and taking control around the university through strong advertising and propaganda.

What has been your biggest success and failure? What have you learned from them?

My biggest success has been finally becoming a mediocre runner. The problem with that is I tore my posterior tibial tendon last summer and haven't been able to run. I'm still overcoming this injury and I plan to work through the struggles in my way to eventually continue my climb to being a good runner. I was just beginning to build enough stamina to breeze through half hour- forty five minute runs before my injury. If anyone has been running for a while, this time interval is a little rough unless you do frequent running or are already acclimated to running.

What is your motivation for wanting to represent student body via student Senate?

My motivation is that Kettering is a fantastic university and these students are great as well, so I fell I would proudly represent these great students when it comes to making executive decisions about the fun and exciting events that go on around Kettering and making decisions that will also affect the university.
