Write a short biography about yourself (this will serve as your campaign slogan/introduction).

Our time here at Kettering is short, the 4 and ½ years will fly by quicker than you know it. During your time here you have to ask yourself what kind of footprint you want to leave on the University. I came here, hit the ground running, and aspire to do great things. I don’t want to live the life where I settle for “okay”, and I apply that to everything I do. Becoming Vice President is the next step for me to accomplish in order to continue doing great things. As Vice President I plan to improve the Senate Committees in order to ensure we achieve the objectives we set when we created the committees. I have developed an immense understanding of how this campus works and what it is striving to become, and I plan to facilitate those ambitions as Vice President.

  1. What activities are/were you involved in at Kettering and in high school? (list academic year, as well as any positions you may have held in any organization)

I have held the positions of Freshman Class Representative, Campus Improvement Committee Head, and Webmaster of the KU-IEEE Branch, SAE Baja Team Member, and Webmaster/Recruitment at the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. I also participate in intramurals, community service, and was awarded the Bronze Key from the Robot Society.

2.  What is the one trait you want people to know you for?

I have been told by fellow colleagues here at the University and my Co-op that I am incredibly versatile in the sense that I am always prepared.

3.  What is your favorite quote/saying(s)?

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world” – Gandhi

  1. What do you think can be improved at Kettering and what steps will you take to accomplish this improvement?

As head of the Campus Improvement Committee, my eyes have been opened to a world of possibilities related to Kettering that most wouldn’t believe. The plans Kettering has are phenomenal. The Vice President leads 4 Committees that help catalyze improvements and development in different areas around campus. Advancing these Committees will in turn advance Kettering. I want to create a more formal system for these committees in order to increase the productivity of these groups.

5.  What has been your biggest success and failure?  What have you learned from them?

My biggest failure would be the fact that I didn’t participate in the clubs/teams all throughout high school, instead of waiting until Senior year to join them. Those additional teams I was a part of my last year changed me for the better for the remainder of my life. My biggest success would be the path I’ve built for myself with the help of family and friends. I know I will end up somewhere where I will someday be able to return the favor to those who helped, and from that I am grateful. I keep in my thoughts consistently whenever I am asked to finish a task for someone else.

6.  What is your motivation for wanting to represent the student body via Student Senate?

I strive to do great things, not settle for good. As Vice President of the student body, I will be able to reach great, and be there for the students of Kettering. I am ambitious and have a passion to make a difference at this outstanding institution.  The Student Senate is where I wish to use my ambition to make improvements. I know as Vice President I can help accomplish my goals as well as serve as the President’s right hand man and facilitate him/her in their tenure.

Thank you for considering me for Vice President of KSG.
