Counseling Services
Counselors are available in the Wellness Center to provide individual counseling on various issues related to personal, academics and social situations
On-campus counselor hours are Tuesday & Thursday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. or call Wellness Center for availability
Some of the issues that the on campus counselor can help with include, but are not limited to:
- Disability accommodations
- Relationship conflicts
- Stress and/or other emotional difficulties
- Grief and loss issues
- Alcohol or other drug use
- Transitioning to college life
- Other services as requested
- Harrassing and bullying issues
- Gay and lesbian issues on college campuses
The Wellness Center and Counseling Services will also provide workshops on a variety of topics on campus.
We have also developed a partnership with Ulliance to create a Student Assistance Program (SAP). The SAP is available 24 hours a day by calling 1-855-774-4700. The SAP assists students in having a successful and enjoyable experience at Kettering University and at their co-op location.
The SAP program is a University-sponsored benefit providing confidential assistance to you. Services include, but are not limited to what is offered by on-campus counseling. Services are completely confidential, and will assist regardless of your location and costs you nothing to use.
By referring you to resources in your area (whether you are on campus for your academic term or off on your co-op term), Ulliance can also provide assistance with other matters, such as:
- Legal issues
- Financial concerns
- Child care resources
