The mission of the fitness programs at the Connie & Jim John Recreation Center is to improve health and quality of living for the Kettering community through a lifetime of fitness by providing safe, effective, and enjoyable fitness opportunities and education in outstanding facilities.

CrimFit Program

Kettering University students, faculty, staff, and alumni have been offered a $20 discount to participate in the CrimFit Adult Training Program. Visit the CrimFit page at crim.org and use the code CRIMFITKU14 when you register for the discount to apply.

Yoga Class Schedule July 15-August 15

Students are invited to attend free of charge and there is a slight increase in rate to faculty, staff, and member participants: $55/10 class session. 

Payment is made directly to the instructor, Lois Schneider of the Yoga Loft, at the first class. The yoga style is Hatha Yoga. All classes are in the Group Exercise Room.

The Yoga LoftThe Yoga Loft of Flint moves & merges: Kettering’s favorite yoga instructor, Lois Sharp-Schneider has moved The Yoga Loft into a new space in the Wade Trim Building, downtown Flint. Now called The Yoga Loft & Sharp Fitness, she & her daughter Allore offer Iyengar Yoga, Zumba, Cardio Kickboxing, Muscle Pump & Core Strengthening. Find class times at The Loga Loft.
