The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) was established in April 1994 with the support of Dr. Patrick H. Deese, Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students and Dr. James John, President of Kettering University.  The need for such a center had been recommended by the Women Faculty Task Force and was the vision of Ms. Pamela Loving (the assistant to the president).

Prior to its inception, several meetings were held with both A & B section students to get a feel for what the students would like to see come out of the Center.  Many were excited about the prospect of having a resource on campus, expressly to meet the unmet needs of our female students.  From its inception, the Center has focused on a wide range of programs, seminars and events to educate and enhance the entire student body.

Renaming the Center

In 1997, a generous gift from Colonel John Faiola led to the Center’s renaming the memory of his first wife, Clara Elizabeth Davidson.  We were able to renovate, expand and refurbish the Center.  It is now one of the most sought after locations on campus for special programs, meetings and small formal events.
