Kettering University will be holding “Kamp Kettering” beginning in July. There will be two one-week sessions, the first occurring from July 23–July 27 and the second runs from July 30 to August 3 (no Friday sessions will be available).
If you’ve not participated in this rewarding summer program, we encourage and welcome you to do so. If you participated in the past and would like to do so again, please complete the reverse side and return to Robert McAllister (3111 MC - Chemistry/Biochemistry).
Kamp Kettering is a one-week summer enrichment program for girls entering 7th and 8th grade. There are two “kamps” with 24 girls per session. Program hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 Monday – Thursday.
Young women from the Genesee Intermediate School District are selected to participate in hands-on laboratory experiments and computer projects. Careers in science, mathematics, and engineering are presented to stimulate interest in these academic disciplines.
If you are interested in working with young people who are excited about science and engineering, we invite you to participate in this very rewarding program.
Faculty members who present a workshop in this program will receive $50.00 per contact hour. Student assistants (if needed) receive the standard Kettering student hourly wage. For those who have participated in the past and would like to do so again this year, we ask that you please consider teaching something different as many of the girls return.
Please complete the sign up sheet and return to Robert McAllister, 3111 MC (Dept. of Chemistry & Biochemistry) by June 25.
