Dr. Paul Zang, professor of Mechanical Engineering and PACE program coordinator
Ph.D. from Michigan State University in Mechanical Engineering, with expertise in heat transfer, mechanism design and symbolic algebra.
Zang finds Kettering students intelligent, motivated and personable. He feels that Kettering students have the ability to "push through complex problems." Zang enjoys when a student has an "I get it" moment. When he joined Kettering, Zang was most attracted by the University's "passion for excellence in educating engineering leaders."
This is an optional make-up session for ALL ME students including those requiring mandatory advising as well as those registering for back-to-back academic terms. This is the last advisement session of the term, so please plan accordingly.

This is a make-up advisement session for final term and dual degree students who missed the August 22nd session. It is also an optional general advisement session for upperclass ME students and those on academic probation.
This is a mandatory session for students registering for their final academic term at Kettering and all ME students pursuing a dual degree. This session is not for Freshmen I or new transfer students unless currently enrolled in a dual degree program.
Dr. Pinhas Barak, professor of Mechanical Engineering
Ph.D. from Wayne State University in Vehicle Dynamics, with expertise in vehicle suspension dynamics and design, chassis and mechanical control systems.
After 24 years of teaching at Kettering, Barak admires the interest in hands-on learning his students possess. He finds that many of them come to college with some practical Engineering "know-how." Barak likes to translate his interests and knowledge into the classroom experience to make the learning process fun for his students.
