FACTS (e-Cashier) Payment Plan for Graduate Students

I. FACTS 3-Month Payment Plan

Budgeting your tuition through FACTS in three monthly payments
To help you meet your educational expenses, Kettering University is pleased to offer FACTS as an optional and convenient budget plan. FACTS is a tuition management plan that provides you with a low cost option for budgeting tuition. It is not a loan program; therefore, you have no debt, there are no interest or finance charges assessed and there is no credit check. The cost to budget monthly payments through FACTS is a $25.00 per term non-refundable enrollment fee.* The non-refundable enrollment fee will be automatically debited from the account indicated on the FACTS Agreement Form.

You must enroll in the FACTS (e-Cashier) Payment Plan online in order to budget your tuition in three equal monthly payments.

Using FACTS (e-Cashier) is simple.
You can conveniently budget your tuition in one of two ways….

A. Automatic Bank Payment (ACH) - ACH payments are those payments you have authorized FACTS to process directly with your financial institution. It is simply a bank-to-bank transfer of funds that you have pre-approved for your expenses at Kettering University. Payments may be made from either your checking or savings account. Payments are processed on the 5^th of each month and will continue until the balance due to the university is paid in full. If a payment is missed, it will be reattempted on the 20^th and a missed payment fee will be assessed.

Example:  2009-2010 Tuition
$695.00/credit hour x 4 credit hours = $2,780.00/3 months = $926.67/monthly payments + $25.00 enrollment fee

B. Credit Card Option - Many students have requested the option of charging their monthly tuition payment to American Express, Discover, or MasterCard. This enables you to take advantage of various bonus programs offered by your credit card company. If you elect to use this option, your monthly payment along with a convenience fee will be automatically charged to the credit card you designate. The convenience fee is in addition to the nonrefundable FACTS enrollment fee. Payments will be charged on the 5^th of each month until the balance is paid in full. If a payment is missed, it will be reattempted on the 20^th and a missed payment fee will be assessed.

Example:  2009-2010 Tuition
$695.00/credit hour x 4 credit hours = $2,780.00
+ approx. 2.5% convenience fee = $2,849.50/3 months = $949.83/monthly payments + $25.00 enrollment fee
 

FACTS 3-Month Payment Plan Enrollment Deadlines:

SUMMER 2009 Enrollment on e-Cashier begins: Last day to submit online: First payment begins:	April 20, 2009 July 2, 2009 July 5, 2009
FALL 2009 Enrollment on e-Cashier begins: Last day to submit online: First payment begins:	July 27, 2009 October 1, 2009 October 5, 2009
WINTER 2010 Enrollment on e-Cashier begins: Last day to submit online: First payment begins:	October 19, 2009 December 31, 2009 January 5, 2010
SPRING 2010 Enrollment on e-Cashier begins: Last day to submit online: First payment begins:	January 25, 2010 April 2, 2010 April 5, 2010

II. FACTS Full Payment Option

Paying your full tuition in one payment through FACTS
You must enroll in the FACTS (e-Cashier) Payment Plan online to pay your full tuition in one payment.

You can pay your full tuition through FACTS in one of two ways….

A. Automatic Bank Payment (ACH)

Example: 2009-2010 Tuition
$695.00/credit hour x 4 credit hours = $2,780.00 + $2.00 enrollment fee

B. Credit Card Option

Example: 2009-2010 Tuition
$695.00/credit hour x 4 credit hours = $2,780.00
+ approx. 2.5% convenience fee = $2,849.50 + $2.00 enrollment fee

Any full payment is deducted immediately. If funds are not available in your checking or savings account, or your credit card charge is denied, your FACTS agreement is terminated immediately and FACTS does not reattempt the payment. A $2.00 nonrefundable FACTS enrollment fee (instead of a $25.00 nonrefundable enrollment fee charged with the monthly budget plan) will be assessed for a full payment.

Completing the FACTS Agreement

When you enroll on-line, be sure to have the following information:

• Your nine digit student ID, as assigned by Kettering University.
• The name and address of the person responsible for making the payments.
• To protect your privacy, you will need to create your own unique FACTS Access Code.
  Please be sure it is something you can easily remember.
• Account information for the responsible person.
  1. If paying by automatic bank payments, you will need bank name, telephone number, account number, and bank routing number. Most of this information is located on your check. The responsible party must be a signer on the account indicated on the FACTS Agreement Form.
  2. If paying by credit card, you will need the credit card number and expiration date.
• Students may budget up to 3 equal payments per term.
   

Paying On-line (e-Cashier)

Enrolling on-line is simple, secure, and easy. Select the FACTS (e-Cashier) Payment Plan for Graduate Students link, below. Complete and review all information and refer to the menu bar at the top for additional answers to questions you may have. Please remember, the student ID field begins with a 7 and is 9 digits long. After you have reviewed all the information, scroll down and select the “Proceed” button. Follow the simple steps outlined. After you have accepted the Terms and Conditions and submitted your agreement, you will receive an immediate e-mail (if an e-mail address was provided). This e-mail will confirm receipt of your enrollment through FACTS (e-Cashier).

Missed Payments

Missed payments authorized through the Automatic Bank Payment (ACH) Option or the Credit Card Option will be automatically reattempted on the 20^th. Any interest earned on all funds held in custody by FACTS is payable to FACTS. Missed payment fees are payable to FACTS. Your financial institution may also assess a fee. FACTS enrollment and missed payment fees are subject to change in future academic years or terms, unless otherwise agreed by FACTS Management Company and Kettering University.
