This year, our goal is to reach $15,000, have 15 teams, and honor 10 survivors. The event will be held at Atwood Stadium on September 12 at 7 p.m. and will continue until 10 a.m. the following morning. We would love to have as many students and faculty there as possible. Anyone that is not involved with Kettering University is also encouraged to join the fight. We will do many different events throughout the night to raise money to reach our goal. If you have never been to Relay for Life, it is strongly encouraged that you to come out. It is a lot of fun and a great way to spend a Saturday night.
The theme for this years Relay for Life is "Around the World" The goal is to dress up in crazy apparel supporting any country you want. Everything will be World Cup themed as we come together to raise money for cancer research.
To create/join a team, go to www.relayforlife.org/ketteringumi. There is a $10 registration fee that will go toward your teams fundraising. If your team raises more than $500, you will be allowed to put your team name on the back of the shirts.
If you would like to get involved, please let me know. We are always looking for as many people to help out as possible. Also, if you would like to sponsor the event or know someone that would like to sponsor the event, feel free to contact the planning committee and they can give you the paperwork to do so.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Mitch Tucker.
