Good laughs were had by all at Friday, August 19 th, 2005’s reception at the historical Oliver House in Toledo. Approximately 30 alumni, friends, and students gathered to intently listen to the new Kettering University president, Stan Liberty. Stan spoke to the group about his visions and goals for the university.

Despite only being in his role as president for six weeks, Stan talked to the group about how alumni can help make Kettering an even better place to go to school. He also touched base on how he plans to make the student way of life more enjoyable for students.

Comic magician, Andrew Martin, entertained guests during dessert with amazing card tricks, magic cell phones, and his witty humor with bunnies.

The Toledo Chapter is looking for ideas for future alumni events. Some of the Toledo Alumni are going to attend the upcoming Detroit Chapter outing at Ford Field on Sunday, December 4, 2005 to see the Detroit Lions beat the Minnesota Vikings. If you are interested in attending the Lions’ game, please contact the Alumni Office.
