The Big Chill

In what he termed a counter-intuitive maneuver, Dr. Homayun Navaz, professor of Mechanical Engineering at Kettering, turned down the velocity of cold air and raised the temperature to 32 degrees in a refrigerated display case in an attempt to improve energy efficiency. Ironically, it worked.

Spring Commencement 2009

A son of Flint offered the Commencement address when Kettering hosted spring graduation ceremonies for 198 undergraduate and 97 graduate students in the Connie and Jim John Recreation Center Saturday, June 13.

Paying it forward

Kettering Senior Marc Alexander of Pontiac, Mich., had accumulated more than $130,000 in debt during his college career and had just 12 classes to go when he decided he couldn’t finish his degree.

Kettering receives $250,000 boost

Kettering University received $250,000 from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) in its efforts to support new and emerging businesses to develop into high-growth employers for the region.
