Henry Juszkiewicz, chairman and chief executive of Gibson Guitar, co-sponsored the Cartier International Polo tournament for the fifth year running.  The tournament is held in England and he has had the opportunity to meet the Queen.  Dennis Schrader was sworn in August as deputy administrator for National Preparedness in the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  This post makes Schrader the No. 3 official at FEMA.

Philip Murtaugh is now chief executive of Chrysler’s Asian Operations.

Ron Wallace ‘78
AgiLight Inc. of San Angelo, Tex., an innovative developer of high-quality, low-energy lighting technologies and products for commercial signage and architectural applications, announced that it has appointed Ron Wallace vice president of Sales and Marketing.  In his new position, Wallace will manage AgiLight's worldwide sales activities and marketing efforts, and will oversee the operations team. Wallace was previously vice president of Sales and Marketing for SloanLED of Ventura, Calif., where he built the company's domestic and international distributor network and was involved in the successful launches of many new products. With more than 22 years of sales and marketing management experience, Wallace has led national and international sales teams and has pioneered industry-first sales programs, branding initiatives and product promotions.

Steve Nash ’82
Eaton Corp. recently named Steve Nash ’82 president of the joint venture between Eaton and INOCA. This venture, called Eaton INOAC (EIC), is part of Eaton’s Fluid Power Group. Nash joined Eaton in 2002 as director of New Business Ventures for the Fluid Power Group and has held a number of positions in Sales, Marketing and leadership positions in the automotive industry, including GM and Collins & Aikman Automotive Interior Systems.

The Michigan Secretary of State announced that the number of 16- and 17-year-old Michigan drivers involved in fatal crashes dropped from 80 in 2004 to 51 in 2006 due in part to the recommendations of the Driver Education Advisory Committee.  Dr. Jacqueline El-Sayed, the former chairwoman of the Driver Education Advisory Committee, stated that the committee’s recommendations were developed to ensure consistency in objectives, curriculum, and program requirements and instructor qualifications.  Stan Bragg will continue to serve as president for the Lake Fenton Board of Education for the 2007-2008 school year.  Dean Harlow is now president of the North American subsidiary of Ricardo Inc.
