Kettering University's Donors

Individuals

Alumni and friends of Kettering University (formerly GMI Engineering and Management Institute) are most generous in their donations. While student tuition provides substantial income, donations provide for many of the needs of today’s students.

In 1982, Kettering University became a private institution. No longer owned and operated by General Motors Corporation, gifts are vital to meet the challenges of today and the future. In countless way, large and small, the contributions of our alumni and friends make all the difference.

For information on how to give, types of donations accepted, or funding needs please explore our website or contact us.

Corporations and Foundations

Kettering University welcomes partnerships with corporations and foundations. Support may be in the form of grants, equipment, as a member of an advisory board, or offering co-op opportunities for our students. For more information, please contact us or Peggy Simpson, Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Gifts at (810) 762-9527.

Many corporations and foundations also participate in a Matching Gifts to Higher Education program. For more information, visit our online search engine.

Kettering University Faculty and Staff

The faculty and staff at Kettering are dedicated to the success of students, the success of the departments and the success of the University. The commitment and dedication is evident in the time and talent offered daily.

Contributions to the Annual Faculty and Staff Campaign demonstrates to alumni, friends, parents and the community at large that those closest to the University believe in its mission and are willing to support it financially.

Employee gifts are welcome any time during the year. New employees or those who wish to give at this time can print the Faculty and Staff gift form and send it confidentially with their gift via inter-organization mail to Michele Loper, University Advancement Department. Once a year, during the spring campaign, employees have the option to select payroll deduction as a method of contributing. A drawing for monthly “privileged parking spots” close to the front doors of the office buildings happens at the close of the spring campaign. Questions or suggestions should be directed to Michele Loper at extension 7434.
