Kettering/GMI 42nd Annual Detroit Chapter Alumni Dinner - October 10, 2006
On Tuesday October 10th 51 alumni, 16 guests, 15 students and 10 staff members gathered together for the annual Detroit Chapter Alumni Dinner at the San Marino Club in Troy, Michigan. President Ben Lorenz ’00 welcomed participants, and presented the Distinguished Alumni Award to Associate Vice President Michael VanSlyke ’70 of Kettering University, and to keynote speaker William Osborne ’83 President and CEO Ford Motor Company Canada, Limited. Adam Calendar, the vice president of new ventures of Student Alumni Council, recognized past SAC speakers who have contributed their efforts to the betterment of the University. SAE students were on hand with their car to answer questions. Frank Krohn ’77 the new president of the chapter, and other chapter officers were announced along with the scholarship recipients for this year.
